Why do some of us love to exercise while others hate it and will do anything to avoid exercising? A study came out recently looking at whether there is a genetic component to whether people exercise or not. It is an interesting study.
I feel that even if you are the type of person who does not like to exercise and is injury prone, you can still exercise, but just not to an extreme degree. It is my opinion that as long as you doing some type of activity, some type of movement, it will help you out. It can be challenging to find an activity that you enjoy and does not hurt you. But once you do, you will be much better off. You don’t have to spend an hour a day, 5 days a week in a gym pumping heavy iron. Just doing low impact exercise 3 times a week for 20 minutes along with 30 minutes 2 times a week of light weight lifting is what most inactive people should strive to work up to. Once you can work up to that activity level, you will feel better, be able to be more active, and also have less pain. It is the Pain Free Way.
